Hey There!
My name is Jennifer McKendrick and I am a wedding & lifestyle portrait photographer from Indiana County, PA who specializes in capturing RELAXED portraits, amazing details and real moments for the coolest clients on earth!! My goal is to take photographs that are fun, fresh and real.
Most of my experience comes from working as a photo-journalist for my local newspaper. I’ve learned to tell a story with the images by experimenting with light and capturing emotions. I also have a 4 year old daughter who helps me remember when the days were much more carefree….and my life experiences in general. Having two teenage parents growing up, I came from a very humble beginning. We weren’t rich by any means and that has helped me keep perspective and to appreciate everything life has to offer. I tend to “see” things differently than most people……I view things in a different “light”.
This blog follows both my personal and professional life, and features images from the weddings & portraits I shoot, the places I travel and the friends and family members that mean so much to me. It’s basically my own personal photo album combined with an information source for my current and potential clients . This site is a little more informal and I just want to give everyone a sense of who I am, and what I am all about.

First of all I just want to take a minute to thank Jennifer and her husband for all that they did for Andrea and I. I’m not quite sure that everyone really knows what a leap of faith Jennifer took in agreeing to be our photographer.
Flash back about 10 months when Andrea and I found a photographer for our wedding. She had never been to Johnsonburg or St. Mary’s, but decided that now was as good of a time as any. She came highly recommended and Andrea and I couldn’t have been happier. We negotiated price, signed a contract, and Andrea and I checked photographer off of our to do list or so we thought!
Flash forward to 26 days prior to the wedding. I receive a voicemail from our photographer. Cryptically uttering the words “we need to talk”! I knew before I hit send on my phone that something had happened and we wouldn’t have a photographer. So that nobody gets the wrong impression of our first photographer she had a good excuse. There was a freak accident in which she broke her hip and was on bed rest for the next two months.
I labored over telling Andrea, as to not freak her out, but decided that I needed to do that. We freaked out together and then just said maybe it’s meant to be. Four days later our first photographer was able to get another photographer to take our wedding. Jennifer Mckendrick had never met us, heard of us, or even talked with us. Furthermore she had never been to Johnsonburg or St. Marys, but she took the leap of faith and much to our relief and excitement Andrea and I had a photographer again!
We didn’t actually get to meet her until the day of the wedding, but there she was early in the morning bubbly and excited. She arrived extra early and continually went the extra mile for Andrea and I throughout the entire day. Needless to say her work speaks for itself, Andrea and I could not stop raving about her professionalism and passion for what she does. She took our wedding as seriously as she would take her own. What an amazing person and now a great friend. Andrea and I can’t put into words truly how great our experience was with Jen-Mcken Photography! From the bottom of our hearts we thank you.
